I’m Keith Ehrlich—some people know of me as keef. I’m a filmmaker and a creative director working to tell stories and create experiences for brands, networks, agencies, and institutions that both educate and inspire. A common thread in my work is to celebrate humanity through a vivid lens that favors minimalism. I believe that great work is made with an open sense of curiosity, trust, intuition, and a fondness for collaboration. My directing journey began in New York City at The School of Visual Arts where I studied filmmaking. After being introduced to commercial making while at Ridley Scott & Associates, I went on to lead teams on design, animation, and FX at firms including HUSH, BigStar, Tröllback + Company, and Brand New School. In 2012, I created and directed Made by Hand, a short film series that focused on great design, craftsmanship, and the maker spirit. Made by Hand screened at the SXSW Film Festival and was featured in dozens of publications; for that body of work, I was featured in Creative Review’s selection of next wave filmmakers for the web. I’ve since directed campaigns around the world for some of the world’s most recognizable brands, crossing borders and language barriers to bring globally powerful stories to life.When not working, I can usually be found training in Muay Thai, at the park with my rescue pit bull Furiosa, or dreaming up new projects.
