As a Jr. Construction Manager, I assist the cost controlling and permit application process for luxury renovations and new builds in Calgary and area. By developing a strict schedule and implementing cost constrains, I am able to oversee possible trade overlap and bid discrepancy through a project's timeline. Part of my responsibility for this position include applying for the necessary permits from the City of Calgary for a project to be built. This includes but is not limited to applying for Development Permits and Building Permits from the City of Calgary.If a separate design firm is responsible for the Residential or Interior design, I work as a representative of the client to ensure their best interest and budget are kept in mind. If the Residential Design requires additional city permit applications, I address these concerns and ensure their project timeline reflects these changes.

As an Architectural Technologist, I am responsible for the residential design and drafting on luxury renovations and new builds. By utilizing advanced software, I am able to design custom homes that adhere to the City of Calgary bylaws and Alberta Building Code. From there, I am able to produce drawings in accordance with the City of Calgary to apply for the permits required on each project. At the core of Zen Custom Homes, we pride ourselves on client relations and retention. In my current role, it is not uncommon for me to meet with potential and existing clients to discuss how they envision their project. I then translate these key elements into a design that is both cost conscious and focal to the client’s initial aspirations.

As a Back-Shop Supervisor, I am tasked with overseeing that an exceptional level of service is provided at all times for Valley Ridge Golf Club members and guests. Supported by a team of 11-12 employees, our role is to meet the needs of the patrons of the golf course. This includes answering questions, event setup and take down, as well as the necessary prep to ensure tournaments are a success. In this guest services role, I have developed soft skills that have allowed me to set priorities and accomplish, often competing tasks in the work environment. Combined with developing management skills, I have been able to affectively develop lasting and meaning full relationships with numerous members and guests.
