Responsible for overall district operations in the North Star District (Berkley, Beverly Hills, Bingham Farms, Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Bloomfield Township, Clawson, Franklin, Huntington Woods, Madison Heights, Royal Oak, Troy). Serve existing chartered organizations by ensuring that quality resources and tools are available to fulfill their mission through Scouting. Responsible for recruitment of quality adult volunteers, recruitment of youth members and organization of new units, district fundraising planning and implementation, program development and delivery, and quality unit service.

I worked in the Government Documents Department on long term grant related projects as well as performed day-to-day processing tasks involving the Federal Depository Library's new materials.Starting in 2008 I worked for 4 months for the library's Reference department in conjunction with my work in the Government Documents Department. Then I worked for the Reference Department exclusively from August 2008 to August 2010. For this department I answered patrons' questions involving everything from printing difficulties, to information about IIT's campus. I also answered questions regarding research, aiding the patrons with our online databases, journals, and circulating material.

I did research / cleaned / photographed thousands of items which I then listed on various internet marketplaces for our company's clients. I worked with limited supervision and often with other employees. I used several programs including ebay's turbolister, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Access. Occasionally I packaged and shipped sold merchandise as well.

I worked as a staff member at D-Bar-A Scout Ranch during both the summers of 2004 and 2005. I was a merit badge instructor covering the topics of Weather, Geology, Soil and Water Conservation, Fish and Wildlife Management, Archeology, and more.
