Hello! My name is Keegan Vath and I am an active duty service member in the U.S. Coast Guard. Before I joined the Coast Guard, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Marine Science from Coastal Carolina University. As a full-time student, I held a variety of positions including Social Media Manager of the HTC Honors College and Resident Adviser with CCU University Housing. As an RA, I led a team of 8 resident advisers to implement transformative ways to involve first-year students in their residential community. I spearheaded a collaborative effort to create better opportunities for student engagement and developed and carried out new programs in the residence hall with my team. As a result, student involvement in engagement activities increased by more than 40%.In my free time, I enjoy hiking, running, canoeing, camping—anything in God's great outdoors. I also enjoy reading a good book and taking long walks on the beach.I am transitioning out of the Coast Guard soon and plan to go back to school for my Master's degree.
