I worked closely with another coordinator and the director to make cohesive programming that would connect the larger Galesburg community to artistic opportunities.I arranged classes for adult and senior students, planned four weeks of summer camp, helped with gallery openings and fundraisers, and taught events for children. These activities bring thousands of residents to Art Center events.Additionally, I created an innovative paint by number event that engaged over 100 members of the community, supervised three interns in various tasks, and worked with a small committee of college students to host open studios.

Each trimester we worked with well over 20 community partners and on campus service organizations. Met with community partners, determined their volunteering needs for the term, and placed students in events and positions; ensuring they had the correct training beforehand. Checked in with community partners at the midpoint of each term to ensure the students are quality volunteers, answered any questions, and addressed concerns. Checked in again at the end of the term to collect hours, evaluated the volunteers and ensured the placement continued to be helpful to all parties. Responsibilities of a fitness center attendant include answering questions for patrons, ensuring each patron fills out a liability waiver, upkeep of the fitness center, and athletic laundry.

Student Callers phone alumni and parents to keep in contact, and encourage their continued interest in the school.

Spent the summer facilitating a variety of arts and crafts activities to campers of all ages, from grade one to parents. When not teaching arts and crafts, also led water activities including boating, pool, and creek hikes.
