I served as a Court Clerk working as a Bailiff in the court room, preparing court orders and assisting the public, judge, and City and Defense counsel.

Working for a small firm, I wear many hats which has allowed me to expand my skill set. I am the first face you see when you come into our firm and usually the person to greet you on the phone. Besides being a physical presence in the office that clients and potential clients can meet with in person or discuss on the phone their concerns, I have the opportunity to assist with legal and general research for our cases. I help to prepare for the attorney's review and editing garnishment forms, Answers to civil collection cases, and immigration forms. These are just some of the tasks I perform on a daily basis. As I have grown in my position, I have also had the opportunity to create many templates, forms, and questionnaires for our firm's usage to help make cases run smoother. I really enjoy applying my personal experience to make a customized document that will help anyone trying to do the same task. One of our partners practices family-based immigration. I greatly enjoy assisting my boss with these cases, helping families stay together and reach their goals. At its core, family-based immigration is about love, and I love learning about these families, their backgrounds, their country of origin, and what they hope their future in the United States looks like. The immigration field is constantly changing and I also enjoy on a personal level the challenge that this field brings.
