Keehoon Kim received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from the Pohang University of Science and Technology, Pohang, South Korea, in 1999, 2001, and 2006, respectively. He was a visiting student with the Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH, USA, from 2003 to 2004. He was a Post-Doctoral Researcher with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, USA, from 2006 to 2009. He was a senior research scientist from 2009 to 2015 and a principal research scientist from 2015 to 2019 with the Korea Institute of Science and Technology. From 2018 to 2019, he was a visiting professor at the Mechanical Engineering Department of the University of Texas at Austin. He is currently an associate professor with Pohang University of Science and Technology since 2019. His research interests are robotics in biomedical applications, including rehabilitation robotics, surgical robotics, power assistant robotics and bionics, haptic interfaces, and teleoperation. He served as an Editor for IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems from 2015 to 2018. He is serving as a co-chair of the IEEE RAS Technical committee of Telerobotics since 2016.
