The beverage industry isn’t mentioned at career day in school – I had to find it by accident! My first exposure to my dream job came during a part-time bar tending gig, observing the supplier reps around me and realizing, “I want to do that!” I learned all I could in that twenty-seat establishment, earning a place on the team to open one of the most successful bars in St. Louis, eventually becoming General Manager. There, I gathered the experience to reach my initial goal – sales for a Brewer’s Association Top 50 Craft Brewery.I have proven myself as ambitious, knowledgeable, and gritty in that dream job as Market Development Manager for Left Hand Brewing. With a territory comprised of Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma, I served as the primary brewery contact for three distributor partners and all accounts (on-premise and off-premise) in the territory. Currently, I am looking to advance my career again, and dreaming of a role that combines my penchants for public speaking and education with my sales experience and familiarity with the three-tier system. I am eager to connect with other beverage professionals, sales people, and road warriors – as well as others who have accidentally happened upon their own calling. You never know who might be currently doing your dream job!
