Monitor Delaware Educator Preparation Program (EPP) compliance with state and national policies. Oversee EPP requests to approve new programs or modify existing programs. Manage and lead Year Long Teacher Residency strategies and policy – including funding, applications, monitoring, and measuring program quality and impact. Lead RFP process for Alternative Routes to Teacher Certification – applications, awarding, monitoring, and measuring program quality and impact. Leverage existing data collection to create tools to inform EPPs of their effectiveness and alignment with state and national standards. Partner with local and national accreditation agencies to implement frameworks and data systems for educator preparation program authorization, renewal, and revocation, as required by Delaware state law and regulation. Work with stakeholders to lead biennial Educator Preparation Program Reports to include data collection, verification, and production of reports. Following the release of reports, provide technical assistance, planning, and monitoring for areas identified for improvement. Collaboratively within the Educator Excellence Workgroup identify and construct opportunities to support educator development across the educator continuum from recruitment and preparation to induction and beyond.
