The ArtistYear nonprofit is dedicated to addressing inequities in Arts Education for K-12 students. Its vision is to democratize access to creative learning so those served may reap the academic benefits, critical-thinking skills, and social-emotional growth that come through creative engagement. I was a full-time teaching artist at Roaring Fork High School in Carbondale, CO. In my role, I worked alongside faculty members to expand access to the arts by co-teaching art classes and leading arts clubs and community projects. Through this role, I also connected to two nonprofits: Carbondale Arts and Stepping Stones. With them, I lead some after-school art sessions.

The Meeting Place nonprofit has the mission to provide a safe and supportive location for meetings, fellowship, educational activities, and social events for people, families, and friends in recovery. I provided child care during morning Alcoholics Anonymous meetings over the weekends. The ages of the children ranged from one to five.

The Voices nonprofit aims to amplify voices in the Roaring Fork community through the arts. I lead art workshops and story circles with the "Sage Voices" group. Our goal was to empower the voices of seniors and engage the creativity of youth. This led to an original Sage Voices Theater Project titled "Precious and Endless," which I was the artist and prop designer for.

I was a student worker in the darkroom at St. Olaf College, where prints are developed and processed using routine darkroom techniques. I assisted beginning students with darkroom processing and printmaking. I handled chemicals: Developer, Stop Bath, Fixer, and Fixer Remover. I adhered to standard operating procedures and complied with safety and quality processes. I maintained the security, organization, and cleanliness of the lab, and did odd jobs as requested.

I was in charge of an arts and crafts studio and shop at Cathedral of the Pines summer camp. I kept a high level of organization and tidiness. I planned, set up, and cleaned up arts and crafts activity sessions for campers of various ages. I ordered and maintained a supply list for the craft studio and shop for the summer. I sold supplies for crafts. I tracked department expenses and revenue to meet budget requirements. I had duties outside of the craft shop and studio as well, such as cleaning throughout the camp and making nightly snacks. It is a collaborative setting and all workers are flexible.
