As a Learning Designer at Reading Horizons, I apply my expertise in curriculum and instruction, literacy interventions, and dyslexia to create engaging and effective learning experiences for students of all ages and levels. I have been working in this role for over a year and a half, and I am passionate about improving reading outcomes and empowering learners with the skills and confidence they need to succeed.Prior to joining Reading Horizons, I was the Academic Director at Bonneville Academy, where I oversaw the curriculum development, teacher training, and student assessment for a STEM-focused charter school. I also have over 10 years of experience as a teacher in the Tooele County School District, where I taught various subjects and grades, and implemented research-based literacy strategies and interventions. I hold a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a reading emphasis, a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology, and a certification in Literacy Interventions, Dyslexia Specific.
