While working in the retail industry for many years, I've enjoyed dabbling in art and music, played piano at a local mall regularly, and also in churches for weddings, services, invitational alter calls, etc. I played for a Dillard's event once-my only PAID gig (ha!). I played the piano in a local mall daily in my 20's, and enjoyed singing with a African American chorus at the University of Arkansas. I enjoy amateur photography, gardening, acrylic and watercolor painting, sketching, and collage with a strong interest in fashion design. I have received awards from my previous jobs for providing excellent customer service, 💯 % on secret shopper reports, was key in the development and implementation of a privately owned fashion clothing store in Eureka Springs, and in the first Walmart Neighborhood Market Grocery Pick-Up in the nation. I have overseen fellow co-workers two of my jobs, and have been involved in training others frequently. In recent months, I've been caring for the elderly and for those with physical and mental disabilities, providing person care, housekeeping, and mental and physical activity/stimulation-basically everything a CNA would normally do.After a long bout of illness, I am finally getting back in the game. My partner and I have decided to open up a small, local gift shop in West Fork. We carry a variety of gifts for men, women and children and are building our inventory day by day. I'm really excited about the possibilities for our shop! There is still much to do, much to work on, and I am very blessed to be a part of this! I look forward to creating more handmade gifts and art along with my partner which will be part of our merchandise. Update: No longer have shop in West Fork. I'm still working on projects at home and seeking new work from home opportunities.
