Maintained the Managed Hosting provisioning system and Global Wealth reporting applications that interfaced with a federated DB2 data warehouse. Both applications were written in perl and utilized several different UDB connectors written in C and using the DB2 CLI library. Selected Accomplishments:Converted a large deployment of CGI applications to a MVC Catalyst framework which gave the application a stable and easy environment to develop on.Created a JavaScript helper to create div pop-up calendars by simply adding a class name to a form field. An example of this js helper can be; Created administration screen written in Perl and JavaScript that allowed clients to view real time statics of running process on the server. The administration screen allowed support personal and clients to quickly investigate and resolve bugs and failed processes.Updated the main UDB connector written in C that interfaced with an Openlink ODBC driver, a Shadow Neon mainframe driver and the DB2 UDB. The update included enhanced logging, a debug mode and conversion from embedded SQL to CLI SQL, and a Trusted User Connection option. Migrated a large legacy Perl, C and Shell application to a P595 Aix, Linux and P750 Aix machines. This project involved Apache configurations, several environment changes, user profile configuration, compiling several vendor C libraries.Created a Web Service using Perl Soap-Lite that allowed applications to retrieve mainframe data based on the API. A WSDL was also created to allow easy implementation with MS products.

Mid-range document management and business machines.; Maintained the Filelogix document management system. The application was written in legacy Perl code and was very static in nature. As the Lead Developer I was responsible for all projects related to the application, hardware and data. I managed two developers, one java and one .Net. As the lead I was required to wear many hats, System Admin, Developer, Project Manager and Customer Service.Selected Accomplishments:Created a document processing system that allowed clients to scan Tiff documents using a MFP and split these documents based on barcode detection.Created batch photo application which allowed clients to ftp zipped photos which were then extracted and converted to PDF format.Enhanced the main application with Ajax that allowed for a much nicer experience for the end user.Optimized the application functionality to reduce power consumption, bandwidth and overall speed. This was done first by modifying all img tags to divs and using css to load the images, implementing server compression using Apache mod_deflate, compressing archives, converting application db configuration calls to static configuration files and converting HTML tables to divs.Integrated with Salesforce.com to sync data with the document system. Basically used the SOAP commands to retrieve and send data.
