I was the leader of a team of product managers focused on creating industry solutions built on IBM's next generation platform for big-data analytics, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and optimization, with a business target that exceeds $200M. The industries served include transportation, automotive, electronics and discrete manufacturing. I was brought into this role as someone who uniquely possessed the diverse skill set and experience needed in product management, technology, industry domain and leadership. Along the way I have addressed challenges involving investment gaps, limited direct-sales force and fierce competition from industry incumbents to build a growing business with several product lines, large growing customer base and an energized partner ecosystem. Engaging and negotiating with stakeholders with diverse priorities to bring organizational alignment on the way forward is a significant part of my job description.

Joining the IBM smarter city initiative as the senior product manager for smarter transportation, I launched IBM's first smarter transportation software product, which helped the company join the club of major solution providers in this space. I steered the business to success winning multiple customers worldwide including big names such as the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, and producing in excess of $100M in revenue. I led the mission of overcoming the multiple challenges of this start-up business that included establishing credibility, demonstrating differentiation, competing with point-solutions and partnering to do business across the globe. I pursued a successful open-platform strategy that was welcomed by customers and attracted many technology partners to integrate into.

I was the leader of a team of solution architects delivering supply chain integration solutions that contributed upward of $150M in revenue across 40+ customers in electronics, automotive and retail industries. I helped many customers rethink and re-engineer their supply chain integrations with their suppliers and contract manufacturers to effect sizable profit improvements as well as to solve the challenge of poor supply chain visibility. I served as the IBM subject matter expert and the program director of multiple open-standards development initiatives in the B2B integration domain.
