This cutting-edge solution leveraged components on the Windows client side and an Azure-based cloud service to achieve exceptional results.Key Achievements and Responsibilities:• Spearheaded collaboration efforts across multiple teams in Windows and Azure to build a new sync framework using schematized data (Bond) and support synchronization of user data and Windows OS settings.• Designed and implemented a highly secure solution from the ground up to support end-to-end encryption of all schematized user data for M365 enterprise customers and sensitive data for MSA consumers.• Developed an innovative end-to-end encryption solution that enabled the Azure cloud sync service to perform conflict resolution operations over schematized encrypted data.• As a Technical Lead and Architect, continued to support the legacy Setting Sync Framework, coordinating with various stakeholders, disciplines, and engineering teams to address critical customer needs and performance issues across multiple Windows releases.

Team: Data Protection and RoamingRevamped and revolutionized file backup/versioning and OS/User settings roaming solution for Windows, resulting in use across millions of enterprise devices signed in using AAD accounts and tens of millions of consumer devices using MSA accounts.Key Achievements and Responsibilities:• Played a key role in the development and execution of building a roaming sync solution through extensive collaboration across Windows and Azure teams.• Conceptualized and oversaw the creation of a modern file backup/versioning solution and user experience. • Collaborated with partner teams across Windows Client, Windows Server, and Microsoft Edge to seamlessly sync and backup OS/User data across all Windows devices, including Windows Mobile and ARM64 devices.• Engaged in close collaboration with Windows Globalization, Localization, and Design teams to deliver a unique user experience, enabling users to navigate their local file backups/versions across time with support in over 200 languages.• Received two patents for the challenging user experience of navigating backups across time. • As Technical Lead, managed the project over multiple release cycles by performing triages, stakeholder and management reviews, load-balancing of engineering tasks, and ensuring successful project completion within strict Windows schedules.

Team: Storage and File SystemsDesigned and supervised creation of a modern file backup solution and user experience. The File History backup was built from ground up, collaborating with teams across Windows Client and Server organizations. The feature was enabled on millions of devices shipped with Windows. The UX for navigating multiple backups required complex designs and was responsible for multiple patents as part of this effort.Responsibilities:• Partnered with teams across organizations (Windows Server / Client) to build the File History backend and UX.• Collaborated closely with Windows Globalization and Localization teams to deliver a one-of-a-kind experience in allowing users to navigate their local backups across time. • On several occasions, performed the Technical Lead role for management of the project and ensuring delivery of the feature on time given the tight Windows schedules.

Team: Windows Home & Small Business ServerPart of Admin UX development team, working on Windows Home & Small Business Server product. The group was responsible for developing the main application used in Home and Server products, UX frameworks for wizards and dialogs, settings, and OEM add-ins.Designed the remote administration application using C#/WPF. Instrumental in improving the reliability and performance in client-server communication of the application. Developed the OEM branding feature to allow customizations of various aspects of the Windows Home Server. Developed the framework for allowing OEMs to integrate add-ins and help content for consumers.

Worked on developing the wrappers for new features and APIs in Windows 7 / Vista in managed code (C#/WPF). Wrappers included support for Shell namespace objects, Shell property system, DirectX, Direct3D, Sensor platform, Windows 7 Taskbar/Jumplists, and various other new features introduced in Windows 7.Responsibilities:- Use COM interop, C#, WPF/XAML to create managed wrappers for native APIs- Worked with the native feature teams during the design and development process- Used agile development methodologies (Scrum)- Design and develop the managed wrappers for Shell namespace objects (including Windows 7 libraries)- Worked with QA to test the features as well as create unit tests using VSTS and Team Foundation Server.- Create demos and sample code for various managed wrappers in both C#/Winforms and WPF/XAML- Created and managed the development guidelines for exception and error handling in the source library.- Wrote technology summaries (developer-centric documentation), performed code and design with various teams.

Worked on multiple product cycles developing the next generation multi-host desktop emulation software. The product was developed from ground-up using .NET framework, modular architecture consisting of plug-ins and services; support for switchable UI based on the Microsoft Office / “Ribbon UI” concepts and traditional menu & toolbars; designer tool for customizing the UI; and integrated experience with Windows and Office products.Architected a fully automated build system to run maintenance, component, and full product builds for over 40 different projects. Features included intelligent build queuing and prioritization, remote scheduling and management, parallel build creation, real-time reporting, and cross-domain build releases.
