During my education I came to realise that the implementation of renewable energy technology is hard to achieve because of too many uncertainties about the environmental impact. That’s why I choose the path of life cycle analysis on renewable energy sources. Currently I evaluate torrified biomass on their environmental, economical and technical performance on several types of feedstock’s. Examples of indicators are the green-house-gas balance, establishment of energy crops costs, quality specifications for bio pellets for the use of large scale co firing in coal power plants.
