I am working as an independant visual artist, curator and art critic in Den Haag, The Netherlands. I am working as a painter, installation artist and I also work with video.As a solo- artist I exhibited on numerous occasions in The Netherlands, specifically in galerie Den Haag, galerie Maurits van de Laar (Den haag), Kunstpaviljoen Nieuw roden en galerie Lutz (Delft). In combination with the artists collective EX-MÊKH I exhibited a number of times in Den Haag and all through the country.

Den Haag

EX-MÊKH is the name for the collaboration of visual artists Ellen Rodenberg, Maarten Schepers and Kees Koomen. These artists all have their individual professional practice as an artist but next to that they show their works in their mutual contexts and they try to develop a relation with the space in which exhibitions are held.Point of departure for the making of an exhibition is the physical and social nature of the exhibition space . Since 2006 these artists organized sixteen exhibitions under the name EX-MÊKH. The exhibitions varied from an intense happening during one evening to a series of short exhibitions within a month. Depending on the specific nature of the venue and the subject of the exhibition visual artists, musicians, writers and designers were invited to participate.
