BiographyCapt. Kees Weststrate is a senior Project Manager of Port of Rotterdam International.He has an extensive experience in Port management, logistics, shipping, terminal operations, marketing and sales, as well as forwarding and distribution of forest products, general cargoes and containers.As Senior Port Consultant for Rotterdam Municipal Port Management he has world-wide experience in operational & commercial projects. Projects in the above mentioned field of experience others were executed in close co-operation with and/ or on behalf of multilateral organisations such as the Worldbank, EU, UN, and various governmental institutes. As Managing Director he was also responsible for the economic, financial and operational aspects of terminals and container maintenance & repair companies.Working experiences:12 years as Third, Second and Chief Officer with Koninklijke Java-China Pakketvaart Lijnen (Royal Interocean Lines) later Royal Nedlloyd Group.10 years as Managing Director, Sales Director for companies owned by Royal Nedlloyd Groupand 10 years as Division Director at ECT (Europe Combined Terminals) 10 years as Senior Port Consultant, Business Development Manager and Area Manager South East Asia and Russia with Port of Rotterdam AuthoritySince January 2008 as Senior Project Manager with Port of Rotterdam International, the department responsible for the acquisition and development of international port joint ventures.Retirement as per August 1st, 2013.
