I am an audit partner with over 30 years of experience in the Netherlands and the United States (Chicago). My main industry experience is in the Telecommunications and Media industry. This includes leading software (SaaS) and consumer platform companies. I serve as lead partner and audit partner for some of KPMG's key clients (Dutch Gaap, IFRS as well as US GAAP/GAAS/Sox). I also served as the Regional Chair for our audit practice for the region Amsterdam (Randstad Noord) (550 fte) in the period 2014-2020.I am also member of our Accounting Advisory Services Group for Corporate Clients with a special focus on Conversion Services, accounting for acquisitions and carve-outs, the implementation of new standards (including the new revenue recognition standard), specific accounting questions and preparations for IPOs. From 2014 to 2019 I was a member of the Audit Board with responsibility for our Audit Practice Region Randstad Noord (500 fte) and HR. In this role I actively contributed to the succesful implementation of our change program. This program has the objective to become the norm again in the audit industry and the clear employer of choice that offers its clients the best client experience.
