Within various roles (sales manager, product manager, business strategist) I had the following responsibilities and contributions to successes:- Market introduction of specific voice services and features like Voice over 4G/LTE (VoLTE) networks and HD Voice for international voice services, including the in-company service introduction. I have taken care that iBasis was the first operator to launch the first commercial VoLTE service between two global mobile operators.- Management of the Outsourcing product. I established a customized package of services for operators wishing to outsource their international voice services. I introduced and assured internal processes necessary for this product. I performed analyses on business cases and business models, and I answered and organized RfP and bid processes.- Contributing to business intelligence and reporting, business planning, strategic analyses, and assessment and analysis of acquisitions of companies.- Following market developments, making benchmarks and advising MT on international voice and data developments.- Integration and operational management of the International voice department of TDC Denmark. Within 9 months after deal closure the TDC business was successfully integrated into iBasis.- Introduction of an automated and enhanced fraud detection tool. Based on the input of customer experiences I took the initiative to automate and monetize an internal fraud detection tool.- Creation of marketing exposure by writing blogs, collateral, and winning industry awards.

I headed a sales team of account managers and sales supporters responsible for the sale of regulated and commercial wholesale services to other operators in the Netherlands.

I headed a sales team of account managers and sales supporters in The Netherlands and Australia. We provided our global customer base of operators with voice and data communication services over satellite. The annual turnover was around 40 Mio USD.My contributions resulted in: the introduction and successful sale of hosting services and IP over satellite services, the proliferation of new satellite termination number ranges, and in improved sales and reporting processes.

As Product Manager I did the product support and development of access networks (voice, ISDN, ADSL) to KPN and other operators in the Netherlands.Later on, as Account Manager, I did the sales of access network products to operators. A major success I accomplished was winning a bid resulting in the huge sale of ISDN network termination devices.

I did research on mobile (3G/UMTS), broadband (SDH, ATM, B-ISDN), and intelligent networks (IN). Within a European team I contributed to the standardization of mobile networks (3G/UMTS).
