My first computer was an Amstrad with CPM2. I began formally programming in 1982 in FORTRAN and the raging affair was ON. I became BBS System Operator in 1986 with my own rig, operated a node that transferred networked communication from Israel during the Gulf War. When the World Wide Web publicly emerged, I progressed into network administration and web site creation. I trained a 7 state region and wrote manuals on Telnet/Gopher and WAN implementation. From 1994-1997 I programmed over 40 sites for our city's first ISPs, Chattanooga Online and Chattanooga Data Connection. I worked with many of Chattanooga's early technology experts on Al Gore's Sustainable Community effort when Chattanooga was one of 11 cities selected. I worked on national projects including serving as the HTML Guide for Mining Company, now About.com. I was a charter member of the National HTML Writer's Guild and Webgrrls. I've administered Unix, Novell, all levels of Microsoft and Apple servers. (I still have my DOS original disks.) A Network Engineer with Hamilton County's Department of Education and Assistive Technology Director for 15 years, I was most energized by locating and mitigating network exploits. I continue to contribute to our national security in that capacity as a community partner with DHS and the FBI's Infragard.
