Performed rapid prototype design and construction of front panel switch assemblies. Directly interfaced with customer’s design and sales staff, and worked through the entire process, from design through manufacture and assembly. Worked as a student engineer to design a steam containment system for the shipyard. Acted as group liaison with shipyard.

I was responsible for setting up an internal customer support Wiki and converting, organizing and reformatting data from the old system. I worked closely with the tech support team to ensure the highest usability of the new system. Additionally, I trained personnel on the new system.

I assembled complex machinery, to include tractors, lawn equipment, barbecue grills and patio furniture, and communicated with manufacturers regarding missing and damaged parts. I ran performance testing before customer delivery.I was certified to run the forklift, riding pallet jack and order picker, worked with sales team members to ensure build could meet customer need date, and utilized system scheduling to meet completion requirements.

My daily responsibilities included maintaining the store with rapid and efficient shelf and special display stocking for day-to-day requirements, as well as anticipating high-volume sales due to specials. I assisted customers with technical questions, and sold merchandise along with a dozen forms of in-store warranties. I was responsible for managing a crew of merchandisers.I became proficient at understanding the store operating systems to work more efficiently and effectively and provide customers with a knowledgeable and helpful workplace. I worked with team members to design and implement a more efficient method of organization of back-stocked items.
