During my time at Thread I led the CRM function for the business as the Product Manager for the CRM pod, owning the cross-channel CRM, email marketing and retention strategy and reporting into the Head of Product. Thread was acquired by Marks and Spencer in December 2022.Key achievements: - Increased revenue from editorial emails by 153% YoY.- Increased revenue from promotional emails by 95% YoY.- Project managed all key promotional campaigns including Black Friday 2021 & 2022.- Led the cross-functional project to bring personalisation into emails, working with styling, content and design teams to bring in tailored content including those based on the user's aesthetic, budget, range preferences and brand preferences, resulting in a click through rate uplift of +55% and conversion rate uplift of +25%.- Rolled out 10+ new campaign types and templates, including brand led promotions, product grids features and outfit layouts.- Overhauled the customer data in the CRM system, removing unusable variables and adding robust data points including brand sentiment, clothes size, range preferences and customer aesthetics.- Worked with the Commercial team to run promotional experiments including an app only promotion, a cart abandon promotion and targeted flash sales in order to maintain a strong customer experience and contribution.- Implemented an automated reviews process, boosting the Trustpilot score into the 'excellent' range.- Led a redesign of the email templates, refreshing layouts and meeting brand guidelines. - Overhauled email processes by implementing new cross-functional systems to improve efficiency and communication.
