At STRUT, we bring SEL into the classroom in ways that are easy to use, easy to scale and result in tangible academic and social outcomes. I have worked as a member of the Marketing team, helping craft our brand identity and message. I led our crowdfunding initiatives. I have spearheaded partnership initiatives with fellow organizations and non- profits in the youth development/SEL/access and equity space. I have worked on internal operations in recruitment, onboarding, and mentorship. I currently focus my efforts on fundraising, writing grants, identifying funding opportunities, and team leadership.

I have the privilege of moving the movement of empathy driven leadership forward in my role which serves my fellow team and clients through a focus on strategy, process improvement, values alignment, and communications.

I was brought in to start the Office of Inclusion Initiatives and Cultural Competence (IICC), now the Student Center for Social Justice and Identify (SCSJI), which is now the central training hub for the university and community on issues of social justice, diversity, equity, inclusion. I helped Dean of Students navigate a complex reorganization that resulted in the creation of the office. This major reorg required a strategic realignment of all former programs and services. I handled everything from the repurposing of the physical space to onboarding of fellow team members. I designed the curriculum for our trainings and hired and trained team members on how to deploy them. We gave dozens of trainings per semester and increased the visibility of issues of DE&I on campus. I implemented new business processes to increase accountability and oversight in finances and streamline operations. I served as the advisor for several multicultural student orgs and helped them put on some of the largest events on campus while simultaneously expanding our profile in the greater Nashville community. I formed a 501 c 3 organization designed to put minorities pursuing post-secondary education in touch with mentors in their field(s) of interest. Our vision was to become "the Facebook of mentoring" and we employed an all-volunteer team of college students from around the country to help execute our vision, which included: 1). the actual "nexus"--our online system where mentors and mentees could connect and 2). Nexus groups on college campuses around the world that focused on mentorship and personal development.As the founder and CEO, my primary responsibilities included writing and securing grants and other funding opportunities; locating potential revenue sources and other sources of support; maintaining proper records for government reporting; developing all corporate publication and written materials; launching outreach initiatives to further the organizational mission; managing the hiring and recruitment of talent for various functional areas (marketing, finance, technology) and serving as an immediate supervisor to executive board members and a fully distributed, all volunteer team.

I worked initially as a Program Manager for the GEMS program, our program focused on middle school girls. I helped develop programming, manage relationships with strategic partners, consulted on internal materials, identified funding opportunities, and mentored an assigned mentee. I also gave seminars and helped identify partnership opportunities for our "College and Beyond" program and planned events like college tours.

Created manual for GA and practicum supervisors to help supervisors navigate the unique GA-supervisor relationship, maximize productivity, and improve educational outcomes Revised the college student affairs program web site in order to make it more user-friendly, attractive, navigable for current users and prospective students; designed brochure to advertise new graduate certificate
