Co-managed program and communications support to US EPA Water Security Division to provide public outreach to the water sector to promote acceptance of the 14 features of a sustainable and “active and effective security program.” Regular interaction with EPA client, participation in planning meetings, compiling stakeholder input, and developing appropriate messages for stakeholders and the public regarding EPA’s water security program. Interaction with US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on critical infrastructure and interdependentness. Directly responsible for managing workload of 6 direct-report staff.

• Supported a Rapid Response contract for US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). Provided day-to-day tracking of scope, budget, and schedule of a mission-sensitive US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) project in the Washington DC Capitol Campus.• Project Manager for US Navy Hunters Point Shipyard (HPS) Community Relations task. Responsible for the Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) scope, budget, and schedule of the community relations task. Required professional ability to write for technical and non-technical audiences and communicate technical ideas to the public. Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations. Experience in CERCLA, RCRA, and environmental program management.

Project Manager for a 3-year, $1,050,000 community relations contract for Bechtel supporting the Navy’s Hunters Point Shipyard. Technical responsibilities included facilitating communication between the Navy and several Navy contractors, the US EPA, the California Department of Toxic Substances Control, the City of San Francisco, prospective property developers, community advocacy groups and community members of an economically disadvantaged neighborhood.
