About Keisha Wiese

Prior to entering into the creative world - design was simply a past time, a passion, and an interest. I had no clue what I wanted to do for a career. That was until a near stranger told me I had a knack for it and should follow my passions. Talk about an "aha!" moment. After completing my degree in general education at Century College, I continued my schooling and began to pursue my creative passions. Best. Idea. Ever. I graduated in 2008, armed with a degree in Visual Communications, I set out into the workforce looking for an opportunity to create.While in school and in the following 10 years, in my "free" time, I worked part-time at the front desk of a Hampton Inn. While completely unrelated to design, it's been a significant position in my life in that it has taught me so much. I've learned a lot about working with a variety of different people, communicating effectively with customers, having a good work ethic, and providing excellent customer service at all times.Starting in 2008 I began looking for freelance opportunities that would allow me to put my creative talents to good use. Over the years I've been involved in numerous projects, both paid and volunteer for many clients including local high schools, churches, small business owners, the City of North St. Paul, Minneapolis Animal Care and Control, and numerous others. I still jump at the chance for a new side project. They keep me on my toes and keep me inspired! And I think that's what it's all about.In 2010 I began working in the pre-press department of a locally owned, Minneapolis based print shop called Gleason Printing. While at Gleason I've had the privilege of learning the ins and outs of the printing process (including digital, offset and large scale printing). Being a small company - I wore many hats. Some days are spent at a computer designing, some are spent on my feet managing and operating digital presses, and other days I'm helping out with finishing odds and ends in the shop.
