For the last 15 years I have worked in banking and customer service positions, which gave me experience with working with a multitude of personalities and demographics. I learned how to overcome obstacles democratically and with positive intent, while continuing to deliver exceptional service. The banking industry engrained in me a sense of urgency and awareness when it comes to privacy and security. In addition, I was able to hone my skills of organization and attention to detail, because when you are dealing with someone's money, there is no room for error. After working in customer service, I felt like I needed to make a change where working with people could feel more meaningful, provide the opportunity to be creative and feel proud of my work. It was then that I decided to enroll at Epicodus. My studies at Epicodus have prepared me for the fast-paced nature of the tech industry and have given me the opportunity to build applications from scratch both independently and within a team.I am looking for a stable career that also presents new challenges, where I can feel accomplished and see the fruits of my labor at the end of the day. I would also like some autonomy to be creative in my work and collaborate on new ideas. I learn quickly, I am fearless when it comes to tackling big problems, insatiably curious and creatively analytical.
