Equity, access, and inclusion are central to the mission of my work. I've spent much of 23-year career developing talent across industries and have expertise in recruitment strategy, university relations/campus recruitment, strategic program development and management, and talent and leadership development. I am currently the Vice President of Core Programs at the Jackie Robinson Foundation (JRF) and in this capacity I oversee the strategic and operational activities of JRF’s 51-year-old college scholarship and leadership development program. This includes management of recruitment initiatives to increase applications for the scholarship, the annual selection of scholarship recipients, and scholarship grants strategy and administration. In addition, I conceptualize and develop JRF's annual flagship program, the Mentoring and Leadership Conference, which is a multi-day conference for JRF Scholars, New Scholar Orientation for incoming Scholars, and year-round virtual and in-person programs, workshops, and events connected with the Scholarship program. Prior to working at JRF, I served as the Senior Director of Career and Alumni Services at Leadership Enterprise for a Diverse America (LEDA), whose mission is to empower a community of exceptional young leaders from under-resourced backgrounds by supporting their academic and professional success in order to create a more inclusive and equitable country. In this role, I developed and oversaw the vision and strategy for career, graduate school planning, and alumni programs to support the leadership development of the LEDA network. I also coached early and experienced professionals through all stages of career development including resume and cover letter writing, job search strategy, networking, interviewing, branding, salary negotiation, and promotion. In collaboration with my colleagues in fundraising, I identify, cultivate and manage key relationships with corporate partners across industries to increase corporate funding and engage partners in innovative programming and advise on diversity recruitment/hiring.
