I am a building architect and engineer of realizing a fusion of a digital and physical place.I worked at an architectural design office after graduating from a master's course in architectural history such as German expressionism. After this design office, I worked for another architectural design office. I have designed many kinds of building types such as a resort hotel, a church, some laboratories, the National Archives of Japan, a museum, a library, and complex facilities. Through these experiences as a building architect, I had an interest in some advanced information technologies. I joined IBM Japan in 1997.I have designed many unique facilities including data centers, large mobile vehicles to house ATMs, and sustainable headquarters buildings that have reduced their carbon footprint.From 2014 to 2018, I led a design and construction project of all IT-related facilities for the largest mega-solar power plant in Japan.I must contribute to our change of lifestyle and workstyle due to a COVID-19 crisis. I want to plan a prototype of a next-generation workplace and an advanced data center facility for carbon-neutral.
