Senior Subsea TechnicianExpro Mar 1992 - Jun 1999Aberdeen, United Kingdomoffshore adhoc position where the main tasks were running and maintaining a wide range of Subsea valves, Umbilical reelers and Hydraulic control pumps. Installations worked on during these operations were Jack Ups, Semi Submersibles, Drill Ships and production platforms. Was involved in the qualification testing of many new product lines, including the 7” SSTT systems, Dual bore systems and specialized subsea equipment for Extended Well Test’s, etc. During these duties I worked alongside all Xmas Tree vendors and gained valuable experience on running Xmas Trees, Tubing Hangers, Tree Caps, riser systems and surface trees. Also worked as part of the Expro crew during Well Test operations, gaining experience with operating and maintaining Separators, Heators, Burners, Sampling equipment and compiling data required for Well Test reports. All above tasks were carried out both in the UK and overseas locations.

Duties included repairing and maintaining diesel and petrol engines, trucks, cars, diggers, compressors, generators, pumps and hydraulic systems. These duties also included welding by Mig, Stick and Gas. I also completed a Scotvec module equivalent to city & guilds part I & II, This was achieved by attending Aberdeen technical college on day release for 3 years.
