I managed three cohorts in Gartner's Global Talent Lab program, an incubator for industry analysts. Gartner's livelihood. What an insane team. We provided accelerated career opportunities through dynamic hiring, learning, and development approaches, immersing next-gen experts in education, networks, and real-world experiences. Sound fancy? It is! And the outcome? We deployed thought leaders who shape industries across global enterprises. I don't know how to underplay that. Forever proud of my Gartner Lab alumni and the great work they do! 🔥

I did not hold a PMM title at Gartner, however, the research and content work I conducted is analogous of PMM and highly portable. This brings major advantages over being a PMM for 8 years: I have deeper experience in market research and far more overarching strategic experience in SaaS B2B and how markets move. PMM skills include: Writing compelling publications on technical topics, persuading senior leaders and executives on their next steps, Competitive Intel (as an alternative to breathing oxygen), Analyst Relations (by getting to know myself), on and on. On the other end, it also means I haven't done everything PMM an 8-year PMM has done, there is plenty more for me to learn 😉

Industry analyst for the IT Service Management (ITSM) tools market. Primarily, I helped Gartner clients make ITSM tool buying decisions. I co-authored the Gartner Magic Quadrant for ITSM (RIP!), among other research publications. I also helped Gartner clients evaluate VSA's (Virtual Support Agents) for IT support, and platform workflows that span across IT and other areas of the business. Because it seems like people in ITSM really just want to do anything other than ITSM 🤣My research and convos with thousands of IT leaders gave me unmatched exposure to evolving market conditions and buying org needs. I delivered published white papers, one-to-one advisory interactions, webinars, and even live presentations at Gartner Conferences. Wild times!

All responsibilities of Specialist role, plus: led a team of associates in continuous improvement through the development of best practices, collaboration across teams, and the delivery of internal research content trainings. Basically I nerded out on agile 😍. To this day, past colleagues regularly bring up a training I co-created in ~2017: Software-as-a-Sandwich. Yes, the training required making actual sandwiches. PB&J, obviously. The outcome: better knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, including how they differentiate. Guess who applies the peanut butter?!

Tracked a wide breadth of topical research that Gartner publishes, as well as industry trends in those areas. This knowledge was leveraged to connect leaders of global enterprises with relevant Gartner experts and resources to support their mission critical priorities. Also actively took my job way too seriously, colleagues can attest!

Interactive STEM entertainment and education business. Our goal was to generate enthusiasm for STEM in developing and energetic brains. My wife operated the business, I provided advisory support, marketing support, bookkeeping services, and tech support. We made more strides in personal growth than we made in money, by far. All while imprinting STEM in developing minds!

Hybrid position supporting two "Priority One" account roles within Merrill Lynch's Global Tech & Operations. On the Resolution Team I handled escalated cases for funds movement and tax requests. For the International Wire Team, I conducted cross-border wire transfers and FX currency conversions under the scope of the Dodd Frank Act Regulation E on the phone with highly affluent clients. Lots of large boats, island construction, and fancy vacations in case you were curious. Most common clients were CEO's and professional sports players.

I recruited and oversaw 182 volunteers, achieving program growth of over 250% YoY for two years, consecutively. Volunteers conducted social and academic mentoring with young adults with intellectual disabilities on a weekly recurring basis. I completed two consecutive "Years of Service" with AmeriCorps, with over 2,500 documented community service hours. I set a university record (documented) and national industry record (undocumented) for number of active volunteers recruited into this type of program.
