Since the beginning of 2017, I have been involved with the setting up and ongoing establishment of a single family office for a significant UHNW individual, encompassing consultancy and advisory roles alongside a number of non executive roles within the Principal's wide ranging business portfolio. The team's initial (Phase 1) focus was on establishing the correct Family Office team, sound corporate governance and due diligence principles across the entire spectrum of the Principal's portfolio of companies, ensuring an accurate media profile for the Principal and maintaining, developing and establishing an appropriate range of relationships with primarily Tier 1 Financial Institutions across the globe. Previously I spent 41 years in the financial services industry, working for 2 major global companies (Barclays and RBS) in a wide variety of roles. Those experiences produced a proven, experienced, senior executive (Managing Director level), with non executive / executive experience in Asia (Hong Kong & Singapore), Europe (Cyprus & Gibraltar), Middle East (Dubai), Switzerland, UK, UK Offshore (Guernsey, Isle of Man, Jersey & London) with demonstrable non executive / executive success in formulating, driving and leading change, evidencing significant improvements in performance alongside delivery of material right sizing projects. Career has involved close liaison and co-operation with UK and other Governments and Government departments, Regulators and key stakeholders (internal and external) within and outside the UK.Wide ranging Board level and Executive Committee experience - setting strategic direction, monitoring and challenging business metrics including performance, financial, operational, compliance, conduct, regulatory, people, competitor and competition.Numerous and successful experiences in identifying and utilising the strengths of an organisation, working across different legal entities, divisions, product and p & l barriers.I am committed to continue to utilise my experiences and strengths within a small portfolio of non executive / consultancy / advisory positions. My experiences and strengths are easily transferable across professions and industries.I am married with 3 adult children. My interests span golf, Southampton FC season ticket holder, Hampshire CCC member, walking, travel and reading.
