Worked primarily with C#, HTML5 and JavaScript on Windows 8.Took over daily and ongoing management of Microsoft’s internal private Machine Cloud test and automation efforts for HTML. In addition to normal test activities, provided regular reporting and metrics as well as ad-hoc automation run configurations to test various combinations of software.Visual Studio 2012/2013When Expression Blend efforts merged into Visual Studio proper took on more scope with daily cloud automation. Provided a number of tool and process improvements to streamline run configuration and reporting.Pushed tools and environment unification to allow local and remote machines to install the same way with minimal configuration change. This effort lead to a number of advancements in internal installation automation and enabled back version installation and dependency tracking as well as whole system unification of product install handling.Took on unification and refactor efforts to merge Expression Blend test MSBuild environment with that of Visual Studio, reducing duplication and enabling a single daily build environment. This effort required quite a bit of cross-team coordination and communications with high visibility and impact.Reporting responsibilities continued into Visual Studio and lead to coordination efforts with a number of remote vendor teams handling various test validation efforts.Developed tooling to help simplify and unify vendor team handling of product installation.Managed HTML Compatibility release signoff activities for Visual Studio 2013.

Initially joined Ecologic Analytics which merged with Landis+Gyr in January 2012.Delivered multiple product revisions at high quality using Java and GWT for service and client development. Drove efforts to streamline UI development and promote consistency across backend APIs used for client communications.Introduced MVC principles to help focus cross-product development for Meter Data Management System (MDMS) and SmartData Connect (SDC), improving component re-use.Integrated GWT Annotation Processor usage and event routing consistency to reduce component fragmentation and lower UI component scaffolding cost.

Participated in all aspects of “ground up” design and development of Medtronic’s Next Generation Programmer Platform.Drove design, implementation and testing of multiple core features of the system including (but not limited to) cross-process communications, data serialization, patient data protection, device bonding state, UI therapy application hosting, real-time globalization switching and on-screen keyboard.Drove the rapid prototyping development for three separate clinical studies to determine the core needs for the first therapy to be delivered on the new Programmer.Developed Win32 interop components to render real-time pump diagnostics data as EKG style WPF components.Drove C# and WPF adoption in the Neuromodulation organization, co-authoring .NET and WPF guidelines and best practices for training and peer review.Other technologies of note include:Socket networking, .NET Remoting, Encrypted File Format Design, Domain Specific Language (DSL) creation, MSBuild, Domain and Memory Isolation, .NET mock development, .NET IL Emit
