Set up and established the first new school district in Utah in nearly a century. Hired and supervised allleadership and staff in the following departments: Accounting and Budgeting, Information TechnologyServices, Purchasing and Warehouse Services, Nutrition Services, Transportation Services, Facilities, andMaintenance Services. This position is a direct hire by the Board of Education. Work closing with the Boardof Education and Superintendent in implementing District policy, establishing and monitor the District'sbudget, oversee legal services of the District, work with Superintendent's cabinet in establishing academicdirection, and interact with legislators and community leaders.Key Achievements: Hired and set up all business services department in a six month period to be ready to take over operation of schools. Installed and set up Financial Management, Student Management, Human Resource Management, Special Education Plan Management, Teacher Gradebook and Student/Family Access, Bus Routing, and Nutrition Management systems, along with 39 other software systems to manage District operations in a six month period. Completed a comprehensive facility study, identifying over $650 million in capital needs for the aging facilities in the District. Put together a bond election campaign and successfully passed a $250 million bond. Achieved AA+ and AAA underlying bond rating on first series of bonds from Fitch and Moody's Bond rating agency, respectively. Overseeing construction of a new high school, rebuild of a middle school and elementary school and renovations of another middle school, total project cost of $130 million.
