He has advised numerous organisations including the Science & Technology Select Committee (UK), NICE, DFID, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Imperial College London, etc. Prior senior management and leadership positions in blue chip pharmaceutical companies where he led the clinical development of novel products from clinical phase I to regulatory approval across diverse therapeutic areas. This included clinical trials at all stages leading to global registration, e.g., pioneering triple combination ARV therapy with the first HIV-Protease Inhibitor, Invirase, Hoffmann-La Roche, before international registration, a new standard of care, and a major fall in global HIV disease mortality; and platinum therapy (Carboplatin) for ovarian cancer, Bristol-Myers International Corporation.
