I bring a wide variety of training, education, and experience to the workplace. After receiving training and certification through Spartan College of Aeronautics, I worked for Nordam, Inc., manufacturing engine nacelles and thrust reversers for five years. Forced out of the aviation industry during an economic downturn in 2009, I attended Indian Capital Vo-Tech and received certification and licensure as an emergency medical technician. Gaining employment at Muskogee County EMS, I worked for five years as an EMT - first at the basic licensure level and later at the intermediate level. During my time at MCEMS, I continued to develop knowledge and acquire skills necessary for prompt and efficient assessment, treatment, and transportation of the sick and injured. In 2014, I decided to take some time off from the medical field, and gained employment with Atwoods Home and Ranch, Inc, where I eventually was trained in lower-level management. After working in this role for three years, I felt it was time to return to the medical field. I submitted my application and was accepted into the nursing program at Connors State College in August, 2017. Maintaining a 3.5-4.0 GPA, I had the honor of serving as vice-president and president of the Nursing Class of Spring 2019. Upon graduation, I was presented the 'June Cope Leadership in Nursing Award', as well as the 'Florence Nightingale for Excellence In Nursing' award.
