An established track record in financial leadering to Board level, across a variety of industries (B2B, B2C, professional services, Saas), ownership structures and entity sizes, and with specific experience of taking businesses up to and through the p/e investment process. Building a strong and supportive team behind me, I look to instill a strong financial reporting & KPI framework that is appropriate for the business to flourish, underpinned by strong financial and cash controls. Also advising the Board on financial, legal and commecial matters, within a Diligence framework. Managing a business through the acquisition process has enabled me to develop a strong understanding of what is required to go to market, from both hte client and investor side, and prepare the business to minimise any unforeseen issues during Diligence.My experience managing smaller owner-managed businesses has given me an instinctive focus on cash and working capital management. As such, Board reporting focuses as much on the balance sheet as it does the P&L. I need to guide the Board through financial information with clarity, and with insight that enhances and enables the business. I have previously developed a number of cash management & commercial tools that support the business functions (revenue models, margin tools for sales, trend analysis tools). I've also been involved in a number of Finance/ERP system migrations and a Salesforce implementation that delivered outstanding operational, commercial and financial insights.I've worked under UK and US GAAP, IFRS & FRS 102 reporting frameworks, as well as extensive involvement in the implementation of Sarbanes Oxley (SoX) compliance.
