Was placed at a host facility that was working towards generating its own electricity through using an anaerobic digester. This electricity would be used for daily operating activities and to be sold back to the grid. Performed calculations on how much electricity and revenue could be created. Made additional recommendations for future projects, such as lighting upgrades and capturing waste heat and rain water, that would save the company money or generate additional revenue. Constructed a small-scale anaerobic digester to project electricity production for the full-scale installation. Projected that anaerobic digester could process 11,000 tons of organic waste to produce 4.3 mWh of electricity per year. Recommended projects that would generate $779,000 in revenue per year. Wrote a report and presented recommendations to the host facility and the IEPA. Co-authored a report on business symbiosis with IIT Professor Weslynn Asheton which was presented at the International Business Conference in the UK.
