As a C4I (Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence) Trainer/Developer I conduct routine training of civilian and military personnel on subjects ranging from radio communications to basic networking concepts. Document and track student progress, evaluate training methods and recommend changes/improvements to ensure efficient and effective qualification of trained personnel. Interface with hardware, software, and human systems integration engineering personnel to support and enhance product improvement processes. Provided technical and operational expertise for training device hardware and software development, testing, and utilization. I filled the role of Subject Matter Expert for C4I related issues, conducting classroom and hands-on training as part of a team as well as individually. Assisted with preparation of plans for accomplishing training/publications tasks. Coordinated training materials editing, composition, production and delivery in accordance with applicable specifications, standards and other requirements.

In the Computer Forensics IT Specialist role, I served as the assistant to a program manager while performing a variety of technical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment. Administrative tasks that I conducted on a daily basis included tracking equipment distributed to the field as well as shipping and receiving equipment for maintenance purposes. I also acted as a liaison between several vendors and the program manager to obtain quotes, schedule higher-level maintenance and check for any other necessary updates. In addition, I conducted several training classes as well as created several instructional presentations. Technical tasks on a daily basis included assisting with evaluation, configuration, and implementation of specialized or unique software and hardware solutions. I also performed system engineering tasks including designing, building and deploying an interface for a specialized tool. Other technical tasks performed on a routine basis include system installation and deployment as well as troubleshooting and repair when necessary. I also assisted the program manager with software and hardware testing of a variety of tools.

Member of a team performing high-volume, rapid turn-around technical exploitation of a wide variety of mobile phone and embedded technology devices used in Remote Controlled Improvised Explosive Devices (RC-IEDs). Triaged received devices and utilized appropriate tools and techniques to recover data in order to identify linkages between devices and feed intelligence reports. Employed commercial mobile forensic to extract, decode, and interpret data from mobile phones and Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) cards. Flasher box tools and chip-off techniques were used to perform low-level data acquisition resulting in full flash memory dumps. Chip-off refers to de-soldering a flash memory chip from a phone’s printed circuit board (PCB) and reading it with a memory chip programmer or reader such as a Data I/O’s TaskLink. Chip-off techniques were used to recover data from mobile phones that were non-operational, damaged, or disrupted. Hex viewer applications such as Hex Workshop were then used to examine raw data and assist with searching and manual decoding data, including carving files from memory.

My duties include fault isolation, repair and maintenance of many different military intelligence systems. Have set up and assisted with video teleconferences. Also set up and maintain a satellite communications network.
