Research Analyst for Apex Credit Partners the portfolio manager for 10+ CLO’s with an AUM of ~$5B. Apex invests in 1st and 2nd Lien high yield leveraged loans.I covered the Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Industrial, and Transportation industries where I was responsible for the initial underwriting and ongoing monitoring for ~55 issuers totaling ~$500m in total funded outstanding capital.Responsibilities include:- All due diligence, modeling, credit agreement review, credit memo preparation, and presentation of investment suggestions to fund traders/portfolio managers for all Industrial, Automotive, Aerospace & Defense, and Transportation transactions that come to market- The on-going monitoring of all investments made in my industry coverage sectors; ~$450m of leverage loan assets across ~50 borrowers- Reviewing quarterly financials, providing a written summary of the results, analyzing and disseminating breaking news to traders/PMs, updating internal financial models on an ongoing basis, updating buy/sell recommendations, reviewing all amendment requests, generating trading ideas for senior management that improve overall fund credit quality, WARF, and return- Monitoring industry research, attending industry conferences, and using outside resources to deepen industry knowledge and improve internal industry forecasts (GLG, equity/credit research reports, debtwire, covenant review)- Responsible for all distressed credit/workout situations that occur in my coverage area- Experienced with valuation techniques including DCF, comparable company analysis, compiling and analyzing recent industry acquisition multiples, and collateral analysis

Jefferies Finance, which is the division of Jefferies & Company that underwrites and manages middle-market corporate debt. Typical deal size is $100MM-$500MM across a variety of different industries. At Jefferies Finance I find solutions for problem accounts, manage performing accounts, and assist on new underwritings.

I worked in the Communications, Media & Entertainment Finance group in CIT. I assisted in underwriting, due diligence and credit approval process for the cash flow and acquisition financing we provided for middle and lower middle market companies.
