• Oversee floodplain management for seven jurisdictions: Colorado Springs, El Paso County, Manitou Springs, Green Mountain Falls, Monument, Palmer Lake and Fountain. • Direct flood loss reduction tasks: enforce the flood damage prevention ordinance and update flood maps, plans and policies to ensure the communities remain compliant with FEMA’s National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). • Review plans, issue permits and perform/direct inspections. • Assist public officials and citizens in understanding and navigating the regulatory landscape of the NFIP through public meetings, outreach and presentations to various commissions, councils and public groups.

Fort Collins, Colorado Area

• Provided engineering oversight and assistance in site planning, project management and design of various parks/open space, golf and resort projects. Clients included national, state and local parks, municipalities and private developers. • Infrastructure planning/design included water distribution, sewer, road, grading and storm drainage projects. • Designed mechanical systems for constructed wetlands, ponds, lakes, water features and irrigation systems. • Served as a project reviewer for the U.S Green Building Council (USGBC) reviewing Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) submittals for projects throughout the country seeking LEED accreditation through implementation of innovative site design in pursuit of the LEED 6.1 and 6.2 storm water credits.
