About Keith Dockstader

With over five years of experience in mechanical engineering, programming, and mechatronics, I have developed a diverse and versatile skill set that enables me to tackle complex and challenging projects. I am an experienced Roboticist, Engineer, and a former professor at Utah Valley University, where I taught engineering and programming courses, especially Solidworks, Matlab, Python, and C.Previously, I worked as an engineer and programmer at WesTech Engineering, a leading provider of water treatment solutions. There, I managed, programmed, built, and tested the control systems for various water treatment mechanisms, such as clarifiers, filters, and thickeners. I also performed field service work in startup and construction of water treatment equipment, and developed the PLC and HMI control systems. Additionally, I worked as a freelancer, developing custom mechatronic parts and designs for various clients and applications. I have a master's degree in mechanical engineering, robotics and controls from the University of Utah, where I completed a thesis on designing a novel quadruped robot for hybrid-locomotion utilizing ROS, python, Matlab, Simulink, Solidworks, and more. I am passionate about applying my skills and learning more in the fields of mechatronics, programming, and engineering, and I seek to contribute to innovative and impactful projects that advance humanity.
