Help setup and organize PING-sponsored promotional events within the Ottawa region. Build existing relationships as well as search and develop new business opportunities within the sales territory. Provide sales support, management of inventory and assistance for custom orders throughout all PING Retailers within territory.

While attending Laurier in the Fall of 2011, I worked at Westmount Golf and Country Club. My duties here included cleaning clubs, maintaining the cleanliness of back shop and pro shop areas, tidying practice facilities, cleaning golf carts, etc. At this location, I had to quickly learn the new procedures and policies different from the previous golf courses I had worked at. This required considerable teamwork and communication skills to be successful.

My responsibilities at Burlington Golf and Country Club included cleaning clubs, cleaning the back shop, tidying the practice facility, re-gripping / fixing clubs, cleaning golf carts, etc. Teamwork played an important role in being successful in this work environment, as there are often many tasks with limited time.

I worked for 2 seasons as a member of the Back Shop team and then was promoted to Assistant Back Shop Manager. This position required leadership, communication, and management skills. I created work schedules for the employees, trained new employees as well as provided the back shop services to the members and their guests. The customer and member service responsibilities became the most valuable skill I developed as a manager. I also helped in the pro-shop selling golf equipment by promoting sales by encouraging the demonstration of new equipment, golf lessons and organizing playing times.
