Product expert / business analyst responsible for making key recommendations and providing leadership on how the system can meet the changing needs of the B+L businesses. Lead design and upgrade functionality decisions, coordination and testing; seek/support approval of enhancement requests and break/fix requirements; work across organizations to resolve process and system issues review regional needs to determine global solutions for Business Process Design; manage standard operating procedures; promote production support and manage business process change strategies. Work closely with the B+L subject matter experts for specified processes as grouped by the PeopleSoft modules. Beyond implementation phases, continue to work with the regions to ensure on-going best practices are in place and common business processes and key business requirements are supported and addressed. Ensure key business operations are addressed by the delivered PeopleSoft system and significant gaps are acknowledged through customization or work around procedures. Ensure the process and system meet Global and Local statutory requirements especially related to Sarbanes-Oxley legislation and VAT reporting.Outsource Management: Responsible for overseeing the relationship with the third party provider of Accounts Payable and Travel Expense transaction processing services. Ensure daily transaction processing meets financial and cash management standards and performance against pre-established targets were maintained. Through the development of strong supplier relationship, I was able to provide over $100K in cost savings for the fiscal year 2004. Key responsibilities were to oversee daily transactions, maintain data integrity, identify and implement process improvements and maintain supplier relationships. As the functional lead for three business unit implementations and several other systems upgrades, I assisted initiatives to investigate, plan, analyze, design, code, test, implement and train for the changes/adds to the PeopleSoft ERP system. During 2001 I reduced the supplier database from 15,000 to 9,000 by eliminating duplicate and non-certified vendors to provide accurate spend data. My duties also include being one of three Corporate Trainers for select PS modules. As the Commodity Manager for our Trial Lens Cabinets in 2001, I was directly accountable for initiating cost savings by standardizing drawer components, reducing double shipping, obtaining alternate warehousing and outsourcing graphics.
