This role involves working with our manufacturing sites and key suppliers to support continuous improvement in quality performance. I provide an escalation point for all manufacturing related quality issues and work with the relevant Tyco departments including R&D, Product Management, Operations and L&D to drive resolution and strengthen process. This role also involves working wihtin the Global Operational Leadership Team for Quality to identify and implement best practice across the organisation.

In the Supplier Quality position I was responsible for the quality of all incoming products through a period of major expansion. This role included direct managing of Supplier Quality and Incoming Inspection teams, auditing of key suppliers, continous improvement projects and addressing Quality Issues raised.• Collaborated with suppliers and Dell to implement, evaluate, and coordinate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) while ensuring robust data collection systems were in place to support key quality metrics.• Coordinated and led external audits for both Irish and overseas suppliers, supported in implementing design changes and New Product Introduction (NPI), and administered the computerized Quality Management System (Q-Pulse).• Developed work instructions, specifications, and quality procedures, and as a trained member of the Lean Manufacturing Implementation team, drove process improvements.

My role in APW as Quality Engineer included responsibility for the quality of product a production cell dedicated to a major customer.
