It is a level 2 trauma center, no peds, no ortho trauma, 24 bed main er, 4 bed fast trak, sees approximately 120 patients a day

In charge of approximately 12 nurses on night shift from 7p - 7am shift. I had to assign nurses to a team; 2 nurses and one doctor to a team had three teams to assign, and admit pts to individual teams as was the team's time for a new patient but had to triage patients to see if team could handle patient with already patients under their care.Triaging adult and pediatric patients, monitoring all patients in the ER, especially cardiac, CVA and higher level patients such GI Bleeds, status asthmatics, seizure and diabetic ketoacidosis, IV starts and monitoring, reassessing patient's, Able to give moderate support with intubations, extubations, central line placement, no OB / Gen experience. Infusing IV drips, ex: cardiac meds, potassium, dextrose, saline's; iv push meds, narcotic pain relief and close monitoring of respiratory system, insulin drips, sq insulin, etc.

Master in Nursing Science, education track. Will graduate June 2017.
