My career commenced in construction 30 years ago and since then I have worked all around the world on some high end prestigious projects. I have extensive knowledge and experience of colour mixing and specialist painting, gilding, restoration and all forms of decoration which I have combined throughout my work life. I have managed many teams and enjoyed working with them and during these challenging times I have been able to ensure that I have supported my project mangers to enable us to progress the job. I am a team player which has helped me to get the best out of my employees to achieve the best results. My previous gilding projects that I managed include the 17th Century Tijou Screens at Hampton Court.I also worked at Windsor Castle gliding the Ecres staircase and The great kitchen where I wood-grained all the furniture and the adjacent doors.I have undertaken smaller private projects on residential houses and apartments. I am now coming to close on my recent project on twin towers of a 55 and 50 storey 792 apartment block in Canary Wharf. These are the tallest residential buildings approved in London and the UK, where I have been working for a company called Horbury within part of a team and within a Decorations managerial role. I ensure the quality of the painters, tape & jointers and I work with all trades to ensure the timely progression of the job. I am confident using software from Microsoft; Excel and trades snagging apps including BIW; field view. Other duties include ordering materials for site, recruiting and taking inductions of new employees and to ensure our team was always working to full capacity. I am a approved CSCS Assessor. In a personal capacity I restore and renovate old furniture, I enjoy the Arts and visiting galleries and museums, including a good meal at the end of the evening.
