Certified Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapist from Philadelphia Child and Family Therapy Training Center, Inc., Philadelphia, PA. For approximately 20 years, I was solely a full-time private practice counselor in the Lehigh Valley, PA. Approximately two years ago, an opportunity was presented to me to work with a population that I personally and professionally have a strong passion to help. I decided to transition my full-time practice to a limited private practice so I could pursue and achieve a life goal of helping people in that population knowing that personally during that time in my life I struggled and if not for the people present in my life at that time, I might not have a been able to effectively manage through it. So, I decided to accept a position/role as a counselor in the Counseling & Psychological Services Department at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania and help that population with providing therapeutic support, feedback, education, and strategies to assist those who need it just I was during my time as a member of that population. My goal as a therapist is to develop a connection with my clients. I believe that there is hope for every individual, couple, and family. I believe successful therapy is a process helping to create “real world” effects. Clients can become more confident in their roles, more satisfied in their relationships, and more aware of how their lives have shaped them. It is a shared experience in which my clients can explore how life can be more satisfying and fulfilling. I tailor my work with my clients to provide an environment for them to reach their potential and believe in the power of change. I have extensive experience working with individuals, couples, and families dealing mood disorders (such as Depression, Bipolar Disorder and Anxiety) as well as substance abuse, self-defeating patterns, aggression, adjustment issues, suicide, failing marriages, difficult divorces, life threatening illnesses, and parenting issues.
