My current duties include identification, qualification, and capture activities associated with developing new business with a DoD and non-DoD account focus. I work with the SAIC Operation BD team and Division Managers to identify, qualify, and capture opportunities, develop and execute marketing plans, perform capture planning activities, and provide proposal development oversight and management. My current position requires me to also, assess win probability and develop win strategies, assess performance risks and develop mitigation strategies, form subcontractor teams, develop technical solutions that meet the customer’s needs, perform market analysis and lead or participate in proposal development. I interface directly with and represent SAIC’s capabilities to government clients and industry representatives on a daily basis. Also I have developed solid negotiating skills.

Field Marketing Manager, Ft. Rucker, ALResponsible for establishing and maintaining local customer relationships, supporting Boeing Defense Space & Security, Boeing Military Aircraft business units (BUs), and ensuring consistent and integrated messages are presented to the customer. Shape markets by identifying customer requirements and enduring needs. In support of and in coordination with the BUs, tailor winning solutions to support the Army Aviation Center of Excellence customer missions including developing, sustaining and supporting rotorcraft technology initiatives. Provide unbiased customer assessments/recommendations to management regarding all aspects of customer program acquisition and market shaping activities. Establish and maintain a team-based culture with Boeing BD (Business Development) other supporting business units and the Ft. Rucker field office to ensure a single Boeing BDS face to the customer. Participate in BDS business development strategy execution and market shaping activities both in the pursuit of new business activities and keeping existing programs sold; this includes maintaining a relationship with the Aviation Center Logistics Command to insure helicopter training fleet readiness issues are being addressed. Support to BU marketing plans and capture teams, blue teams and other activities as needed to support new business pursuits is a must. Develop relationships with the Foreign Liaison officers stationed at the Army Aviation Center of Excellence. Ensure communication and coordination among various Boeing BU's and field offices working with US government customers and supporting agencies in the Ft. Rucker area. Actively participate in local area industry groups/associations, and local community professional associations to enhance Boeing's image as a good neighbor & community partner.

Currently directing, managing and leading a team of four program managers with 27 people assigned; $6M in revenue and a $5M budget. We have various programs with NASA, the Air Force and the Army including Knowledge Management, LEAN Six Sigma, SharePoint Development, and Counter Rocket, Artillery & Mortar (C-RAM). Participate with executive-level managers to develop the organization’s long-range goals and define the objectives necessary to achieve the goals. Develop and ensure budgets and schedules meet objectives and requirements. Regularly interact with other executive-level managers and serve as a Company representative to the community. Other requirements of the position include Strategic Planning for the Federal sector and Company selection for contractual teaming. Assist with proposal writing and review.
