Besides getting to hang out in beautiful San Diego every once in a while, G4 keeps things exciting for me. I am in charge of their hosting infrastructure and complex development projects. Recently launched projects include a site we helped build for the Army, called: armyfit.mil. (protected site). My role in this project was to scope, help architect and project manage to completion. I am currently involved in a project using machine learning for the healthcare industry.

It has been a great experience working with such a vibrant not-for-profit organization that his been in existence for over 100 years . My role has been to assist the CEO in implementing technology solutions that help support their humanitarian projects.

Plaza is the only community owned Funeral Chapel in the greater NYC area. Over the past 14 years,, my work at Plaza has been rewarding on multiple levels., Plaza has always embraced new technology and over the years I've helped distinguish Plaza as an innovator in their space. Back in 2004 we began offering remote attendance to memorial services by phone, and in 2005 launched the first webcasting platform for funerals. Other projects I deployed for Plaza include several mobile apps, a micro site, a Salesforce integration. I am their webmaster, and architect of Funeral service web portal. Currently I am exploring ways AI, bots and blockchain can keep Plaza ahead of the curve.

This was my first crowdsourcing project. I learned a lot from this venture and it was acquired in September 2011. It is still online today.

I was contracted as a third party technical consultant and web hosting and streaming provider. I was responsible for the live streaming of private and public broadcasts. My role was to architect solutions and support the on-site technical team, as well as to provide and support the steaming infrastructure. Many of these public broadcasts were high profile, events, while the private broadcasts required an extra levels of security. These broadcasts demanded precision on all levels.

A Labor of Love: Inspired by my love for music and a visit to the Poconos Blues festival I created what would go on to be a 10 year annual Blues Festival with my partner Michael Moss. We created a very unique event. Here is a blurb from our 5th annual:"For those that have never experienced this unique event, Blues 2000 has been called "A Blues Cruise on Land' Not only do we spoil you with over 75 hours of Non-stop Blues on over 1000 Acres, but we serve all you can eat 'themed' meals, all you can drink cocktail parties, sleeping rooms onsite, use of the resort amenities. private parties, singles weekend, workshops, Jam Sessions and more!" I moved to Florida in 2000 and Michael began taking over more and more of the responsibilites, and it is only because of him and the great group of Blues 2000 friends that it survived for 10 years.

I began my journey into the world of zeros and ones in 1996, in an nontraditional way. With a life-long career in marketing and looking for a new way to promote my first of a 10 year annual blues festival, I created a website with the help of a friend. The awe of the young Internet inspired me, to co-partner, Magic Carpet, the first Internet Access and Web hosting company in Orange County NY.
